After graduating high school Nancy Dailey spent a year in Germany where she learned the language. She continued studying art and German in college, and obtained her degree from the University of Missouri. She also studied writing with the Institute of Children's Literature.
She exhibited her artwork in regional, national, and international shows for several years before concentrating her time and energy on teaching in the public schools of Missouri. She developed several innovative programs which she used in her classroom. Nancy has published in area newspapers and in local, regional, and national magazines, as well as online.
With more than 30 years in a classroom, she decided to make a change. At the age of 70, Nancy chose to go zip-lining through the trees and has been going non-stop ever since. Her two daughters encourage her in all of her varied interests, including geocaching, zip-lining, hunting for treasure, seashells, and new hobbies. When she's not traveling, she's painting, writing, or otherwise being creative.
